BRAINIAC: TRANSMISSIONS AFTER ZERO (2019)

I saw Brainiac a couple times and thought they were good, but not the mindblowingly revolutionary band that people talked about in this film. The doc was reeeaaallly well done, though. Gripping story: band makes weird-ish music, everything goes right, people love them, about to sign a huge major label deal, band leader / songwriter dies in a dumb accident. Band is done, drummer finds christ and becomes a minister.

Interviews were really good. Interviewer must have been asking the right questions, because the people interviewed all had interesting things to contribute. Everything was high quality. Drug use may have been downplayed a bit. I enjoyed the extensive interviews with singer's mom. This is an example of everything good about a music documentary: compelling even if you are not a huge fan of the band. I'm sure there are people who never heard of Brainiac that loved this doc.
