I'M NOW: THE STORY OF MUDHONEY (2012)

This was a pretty interesting ride. The thesis of the movie is the story of the band that was first, but never quite "made it." That band themselves seem less concerned about this than the movie makers, which is probably how it should be.

I was around for the grunge scene, but actively didn't pay attention to it for the most part (at one point, I went to see Kevin Seconds' new band play at a small club, and then took off - I missed Alice In Chains and Mookie Blaylock - I at least kinda regret this.) I've never really dug into Mudhoney, other than checking out the CDs that my wife brought into the marriage. So I guess I was only partially aware that they were the band that drove sales for SubPop at the beginning.

The people in the band are all portrayed as awesome dudes. At this point, watching so many of these, it's hard to tell if this is actually the case, or if it is a function of the reality of these docs being mostly done by fanboys. However, this is well done and fun to watch.
