THE NEW YORK HARDCORE CHRONICLES FILM (2017)

This is a Drew Stone film, like the Boston one. It is equally bad. Not sure how you take a scene as interesting as NYHC and meander around directionless with it in a movie. To a certain extent, it's one of those scenes that is over-chronicled so it's hard to give us anything new. But I just thought there was no focus, the technical quality was not great, and in the end it just didn't say anything. At least that oral history book had Stigma talking about how he was Italian for pages and pages.

I'd say this scene deserves a better film, but do we really want that? I'd rather watch a film about a podunk town's pop-punk scene or something.
