PUNK'S NOT DEAD (2007)

Fuck, I've watched so many of these at this point. Some of this footage I have definitely seen before (Adicts / Subhumans (UK) / Sum41) but I don't think I have watched this one before. Not sure if the footage was used somewhere else? It’s all a quarantine blur.

This was better than I thought it would be. Only spent a few minutes on early punk and hardcore, declared the late 80s a deadzone (ignoring the East Bay, DC and NYHC,) then moved to punk breaking it big. I hate the "worrying about selling out was silly" attitude that seemed to dominate the 00s, but it didn't detract too much from the film. After the breaking it big part, the film moved on to the early bands who got back together or never broke up. Most of them sounded salty about the young kids being posers and being popular, which was funny.

This is almost like a sequel to American Hardcore. It was pretty fun to watch, even it it isn't really giving us any new info at this point.
