INSTED: PROUD YOUTH: 1986-1991 (2016)
This clocks in at about 30 minutes, which seems appropriate for Insted. Decent first LP, pretty good 7" and then a second LP that I didn't really like. Cool to see Pat Dubar, who keeps a low profile these days, being interviewed. Best part of this was the petty drama. Dubar wouldn't do the first LP on Wishingwell Records if Insted did a 7" with Revelation, so they skipped the Rev. 7". Then, when they get in the studio, Dubar is in Staring Into The Sun mode, and tries to get them to sing the songs differently (they refused.)
To their credit, Insted seemed like solid dudes who just wanted to be a simple hardcore band. They were around at the right time and pulled that off. Then they figured they were done, and called it a day.
Waiting for the Lidsville documentary next.
